OAK BROOK, Ill. - On Friday, the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) Board of Trustees approved up to $80 million in commitments to the Alternative asset class.

The Board approved the following commitments, subject to satisfactory legal due diligence:

Private Equity

• Up to $30 million to Vensana Capital III, L.P. IMRF is an existing investor in Vensana funds with $40 million in aggregate commitments.
• Up to $50 million to Summit Partners Growth Equity Fund XII, L.P. IMRF is an existing investor in Summit funds with $55.5 million in aggregate commitments.

Investment Consultant

The Board appointed Callan LLC as IMRF's new Investment Consultant and Performance Measurement Services provider, effective January 1, 2025, subject to satisfactory contract negotiations and legal due diligence. Callan will assist IMRF in several ways, including asset allocation, portfolio construction and implementation, sourcing investment managers, and performance measurement. The contract with Callan is for a 5-year term.

As of June 30, 2024, the total IMRF portfolio was valued at $54.0 billion.
