As School Year Approaches, It’s Time to Sign Up for Fun and Safe After-School Activities

As students and parents prepare for the school year to begin, with local public schools opening on August 19, the City of St. Louis offers a wide range of programs for children and teenagers looking for fun and safe activities after school.

Whether it's soccer training at the Cherokee Recreation Center, Girls Talk at the Gamble Recreation Center, Computer Lab & Homework Help at the Wohl Recreation Center, or something completely different, there are things to do for students of all ages across St. Louis this school year.

"As a single mother, I know the importance of having quality programs available for our babies after school," said Mayor Tishaura O. Jones. "With the great activities put on by our Recreation Division, we are both giving children a chance to get help with their homework and to have fun and grow in a safe environment."
