Loughborough Sport is delighted to announce a 12-month partnership with technology provider, VALD.

As part of the agreement, VALD has provided the university with its state-of-the-art sport technology equipment, which has been implemented across Loughborough's teaching and performance departments.

This includes an installation in Powerbase gym with practitioners and athletes benefitting from VALD's products such as ForceDecks Lite; SmartSpeed; ForceFrame; and NordBord.

In a first-of-its-kind move in a gym setting, VALD's portable ForceDecks Lites have been fully integrated into the lifting platforms allowing for real-time data capture in a live environment.

ForceDecks are also a removable product which have been used in other multi-sport locations on campus.

Further to this, a mobile testing hub has also launched showcasing a variety of additional VALD products.

The two organisations will also collaborate to identify research opportunities that will be potentially undertaken by academic colleagues at Loughborough.

Rich Ellis, Deputy Director of Sport (Head of Sport Commercial Partnerships and Facilities), Loughborough University said: "VALD's reputation as one of the world's leading high performance technology providers speaks for itself. We're thrilled to have agreed to work collaboratively over the next 12 months.
