Public's Assistance Sought in Identifying WeGo Bus Shelter Vandal(s)

MNPD is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the person or persons who vandalized as many as 50 WeGo bus shelters over the last three weeks, including 20 this weekend. The glass enclosures around the stops were either partially or totally shattered.

Most of the vandalism has occurred along Gallatin Pike in East Nashville and 12th Avenue South in Edgehill. Additional vandalized shelters have been reported in downtown, Madison, Germantown, West End Avenue, and South Nashville.

The damaged bus shelters have either been repaired or will be soon. Additional police patrols will be providing an extra presence along bus route corridors.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
