State Police arrest Albany man for DWI following a past road rage...

On July 31, 2024, State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol arrested Andrew T. Jensen, 30, of Albany, NY, for attempted Criminal Mischief in the third degree, Reckless Endangerment of Property, Driving While Intoxicated, and other multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On June 20, 2024, at about 10:58 p.m., Troopers received a walk-in complaint reporting on June 14, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the victim was involved in a road rage incident in the area of Exit 4 of I-87 in Colonie, NY. The investigation identified Jensen as the driver of the other vehicle involved with the assistance of the New York State Intelligence Center (NYSIC). During the incident, while stopped at a traffic control device, Jensen allegedly intentionally threw items from his vehicle, which struck the victim's vehicle. No damage was caused to the victim's vehicle.

On July 31, 2024, at about 9:40 p.m., Jensen was stopped by Troopers on Albany Shaker Road in Colonie, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. Jensen was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. In addition, Jensen was charged with the alleged crimes that occurred on June 14, 2024, during the road rage incident. He was transported to SP Latham for processing on all charges, where he refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood.

Jensen was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Colonie Town Court on August 14, 2024, and released to a sober third party.
