St. Joseph's University Pedestrian Bridge Construction Planned on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Philadelphia, Lower Merion Township

​King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that A.P. Construction, Inc. will perform bridge construction for the St. Joseph's University pedestrian bridge on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
  • From 7:00 AM Monday, November 11, through 3:00 PM Thursday, November 14, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in both directions between Lapsley Lane and 59th Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
