National Night Out

UPDATES/CHANGES:

Neighbor-to-Neighbor Grant Opportunity: If you are part of a neighborhood council AND your neighborhood council is eligible to participate in the Neighbor-to-Neighbor grant program as a part of National Night Out, you may be eligible to access additional resources to support your block party. For more information, please contact Stephanie Ny, Program Manager for "Love Your Block" at 510-620-6563 or email Stephanie Ny.

Caravan: We know that everyone loves the caravan. We will have a smaller (but mighty) caravan presence!

Visits by PD Command and Civic Officials: The Chief, Command Staff, District beat officers visit neighborhood parties that register online, along with fire and other city agencies. Civic Officials will be provided a list of the sites to visit neighborhoods as time permits.

Crime Prevention Board Visits: There will also a contingency of community volunteers from the Crime Prevention Executive Board who will visit the first five registered block parties in each of the three policing districts (Northern, Central and Southern). Though anyone can host a party, we encourage those who would like a visit from the Crime Prevention Executive Board to sign up early. The first 5 parties registered in each of the three districts will get visiting priority.

Kick off and End Party Locations TBA: Lookout for a special announcement about the kick off and end party.

Staying Healthy: Although we have moved from the COVID-19 "pandemic" to "endemic" phases, we encourage you to use good hygiene practices around food by making sure that hand sanitizer is available for shared meals. Be mindful that there is an expected uptick of the virus this summer.
