David Menke Joins MBA as Director of Member Relations

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 4, 2024) - The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced today that David Menke has joined the association as Director of Member Relations. In his role, Menke will manage MBA's portfolio of residential member companies, overseeing and strengthening member engagement with key leaders and identifying opportunities for MBA to better support their business efforts.

"David's extraordinary people skills and his extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry, backed by two decades of experience, make him the perfect choice to fill this role," said Laura Hopkins, MBA's Vice President of Membership. "I look forward to him joining our exceptional member relations team and enhancing our member engagement initiatives."

Menke has 20 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. Before joining MBA, Menke served as Vice President of Secondary Marketing at CapStar Bank. Prior to that, he led the Secondary Markets functions at Franklin Synergy Bank. Menke started his career as a loan origination sales specialist in 2004.

Menke has been an active member of MBA for the past 5 years. In 2024, Menke was elected President of the Tennessee Mortgage Bankers Association (TNMBA). As President of TNMBA, Menke fiercely advocated for the mortgage industry, while leading initiatives stimulating the growth, education, and the overall success of its members. Menke previously served as President of the Nashville Mortgage Bankers Association in 2020, following his role as a member of its board of directors.

Menke holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Kansas.
