Paid Family & Medical Leave Rules Public Comment Period Ending September 30

The revised proposed rules were published for public comment on August 28

AUGUSTA - There is still time for the public to comment on the revised proposed rules for Maine's new Paid Family and Medical Leave Program! The Maine Department of Labor will accept comments through September 30, 2024. The public can submit comments online on the Department's website - https://www.maine.gov/labor/rulemaking/ or by mail.

Comments submitted by mail can be addressed to the Paid Family and Medical Leave Program, 50 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333-0050. Comments made by mail must have a postdate of September 30 or earlier.

After the public comment period ends, the Department will review and consider all comments submitted by the public.

The Department will continue to update its Paid Family and Medical Leave website whenever new information is available: https://www.maine.gov/paidleave/
