Today, Yvette Herrell will join Donald Trump on stage to spew lies about her record on gas and oil in New Mexico. Whatever she claims, her track record is clear.
Herrell's Record on Energy Includes:
Voting against the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which improved energy infrastructure and lowered energy costs.
It provided $62 billion to the Department of Energy, including seven billion dollars for fossil fuel and carbon management.
It also provided funding to the Department of Interior, which allocated resources to support a water pipeline in Eastern New Mexico.
Receiving nearly $800,000 from the Oil and Gas industry and voting against raising penalties for water pollution by oil and gas operators.
Opposing a bill that put $8 billion towards cleaning up abandoned oil and gas wells and would have increased drillers' required bond insurance.
Voting against the Inflation Reduction Act, which lowered energy costs, increased cleaner production, strengthened our energy security, and created jobs manufacturing solar panels, wind turbines, and electric vehicles in America.
DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
"New Mexicans won't be fooled by Yvette Herrell's empty words and desperate re-write of her anti-energy agenda. They know that she can't be trusted to lower energy costs or keep families safe from pollutants, and they won't trust her with their vote next week."
