ASTA and CLA Reply to EPA’s Request for Comment on Thiram

On July 30, ASTA and CropLife America replied to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s Office of Pesticide Programs' Request for Comment regarding EPA's April 30, 2024, amended Proposed Interim Decision (PID) for thiram. In the letter, ASTA and CLA highlight thiram's "critical importance" as a seed treatment tool in the vegetable and specialty crop industry, the likely consequences of a cancellation, and ask the EPA to consider information "submitted by [ASTA and CLA] member companies and other stakeholders to more accurately portray worker exposure during commercial seed treatment applications based on realistic operational conditions."
