SCDOT to temporarily close lane on I-20 Westbound in Richland County for emergency repairs

​Columbia, S.C. (August 23, 2024) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close the left lane of I-20 westbound near mile marker 75 in Richland County for emergency repairs to the roadway.

SCDOT is expediting repairs and will share a timeline for reopening the lane closure as more information becomes available.

SCDOT asks the public to slow down and pay attention when driving through the work zone. You can plan your route ahead of time by using SCDOT's 511 SC app or by visiting 511sc.org. If you can't avoid the area, SCDOT asks that you use caution and slow down when driving near crews.
