Alhambra Fire Department to Host 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Alhambra, CA - The Alhambra Fire Department will host a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 9 AM at Fire Station 71 (301 N. 1st Street) to pay tribute to the first responders and civilians who lost their lives during the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

"We gather each year to remember the heroes who selflessly gave their lives and to remind ourselves of the strength and unity that emerged from such a dark day," said Mayor Sasha Renée Pérez. "Their courage continues to inspire us all, and it's our duty to honor their legacy."

The ceremony will feature posting of colors by the Alhambra Police Department Honor Guard, Invocation, Tolling of the Bell, and bagpipe music. All are welcome to attend and registration is not required.
