State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 6/28- 7/2

On June 28, 2024, at about 1:35 p.m., State Police of Cobleskill responded to the report of a crash in the area of State Route 20 in Esperance, NY. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jamie M. Salone, 39, of Richfield Springs, NY. The investigation determined Salone was hauling a trailer when he struck a garbage can on the side of the roadway. That collision caused the trailer to break free from the vehicle, and it came to rest in a nearby yard. Salone left the scene and later returned, where he was arrested for Driving While intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was then transported to SP Cobleskill for processing, where he recorded a 0.22% BAC. Salone was issued tickets returnable to the Esperance Town Court on August 7, 2024, and released.

On June 28, 2024, at about 5:21 p.m., State Police of Cobleskill responded to the reports of a vehicle driving erratically eastbound on I-88 from Ostego County, NY. Troopers located a vehicle matching the caller's description and stopped on I-88 in Cobleskill, NY, after observing a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Kyle J. Roach, 25, of Albany, NY. Roach was arrested for Driving While intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Cobleskill for processing, where he recorded a 0.21% BAC. Roach was issued tickets returnable to the Cobleskill Town Court on July 30, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On June 28, 2024, at about 7:17 p.m., State Police of Clifton Park responded to Crescent Vischer Ferry Road in Halfmoon, NY, for the reports of a disabled vehicle blocking the roadway. The driver was identified as Jennifer M. Brown of Waterford, NY, and it was determined that the vehicle had run out of gasoline. Brown was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. She was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where she recorded a 0.17% BAC. Further investigation discovered Brown has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. She was issued tickets returnable to the Halfmoon Town Court on July 31, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On June 30, 2024, at about 1:08 a.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on Central Avenue in Albany, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation and observed damage to the vehicle. The driver was identified as Melva A. Ebron, 54, of Schenectady, NY. Ebron was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Latham, where she recorded a 0.19% BAC. Further investigation discovered the damage to Ebron's vehicle was caused whenshestruck a parked SUV in the area of Lexington Avenue prior to being stopped by Troopers. Ebron failed to stop or report that crash. She was issued tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on July 18, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On July 1, 2024, at about 2:53 p.m., State Police of Sand Lake responded to the area of Edgewood Drive in Averill Park, NY, for the report of an unresponsive driver in a running vehicle. On arrival, the Troopers located the driver outside the parked vehicle and identified them as Lori B. Murray, 45, of Averill Park, NY. Murray was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Sand Lake for processing, where she recorded a 0.29% BAC. Further investigation discovered Murray has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. She was issued tickets returnable to the Sand Lake Town Court on July 22, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On July 1, 2024, at about 5:48 p.m., State Police of Greenwich responded to the reports of a two-car crash in the area of State Route 40 and County Route 49 in Argyle, NY. The investigation determined Joshua S. Lee, 44, of Salem, NY, was traveling north on State Route 40 when he turned left into a southbound vehicle. Lee was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Greenwich for processing, where he recorded a .23% BAC. Lee was issued tickets returnable to the Argyle Town Court on July 16, 2024, and released to a sober third party. Two individuals in the other vehicle were transported with minor injuries.
