SEMO Now Accepting Applications for the Law Enforcement Academy

Southeast Missouri State University's Law Enforcement Academy is currently accepting applications for the fall 2024 semester until Friday, July 26.

Prospective students have the option to pursue either a bachelor's degree or a certificate in law enforcement. Even those opting for the certificate program can access financial aid and earn 18 credit hours that can be applied toward a future bachelor's degree. Both pathways lead to a Class "A" Missouri Peace Officer's License.

Applicants must also apply for admission to SEMO, regardless of their chosen program. While regular SEMO courses commence on August 19, Law Enforcement Academy classes begin earlier, on August 5, and continue through finals week.

APPLY TO SEMO

Applications for the Law Enforcement Academy can be submitted in person or mailed to SEMO Law Enforcement Academy. Background checks must be completed by July 26 for applications to be considered. University applications can be completed conveniently online at semo.edu/admissions.
