ACCGov Schedule & Service Changes for Indigenous Peoples' Day on Mon., Oct. 14

Animal Services

• The Animal Shelter will be closed Monday, October 14 and will resume regular hours on Tuesday, October 15 for fosters, adoptions, and rescues.
• Animal Control Officers will not be available for non-emergency calls on Monday, October 14. Non-emergency service calls will resume on Tuesday, October 15.
• Emergency animal services - such as an animal bite, a seriously sick or injured animal, or an animal trapped inside a living space of a home - will be provided throughout the holiday by calling 911.

Leisure Services

• Parks will be open 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Monday, October 14. Sandy Creek Park is closed on Mondays and will be closed on October 14.
• All other department facilities (Sandy Creek Nature Center, Lyndon House Arts Center, all community centers) will be closed on Monday, October 14.
• All parks and facilities will reopen Tuesday, October 15 under regular hours of operation.

Solid Waste

• Solid Waste offices will be closed on Monday, October 14.
• Residential garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day and collected as follows: collection normally scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday collection will be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday collection will be collected on Thursday, and Thursday collection will be collected on Friday.
• Downtown district commercial and residential curbside, roll cart, and dumpster garbage and recycling services will be collected as regularly scheduled.
• All other commercial curbside, roll cart, and recycling services will be delayed by one day and collected as follows: collection normally scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday collection will be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday collection will be collected on Thursday, and Thursday collection will be collected on Friday.
• Leaf & limb collection will be altered by storm damage collection. See accgov.com/leaflimb for current updates.
• The Materials Recycling Facility will be open on Monday, October 14 from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM as regularly scheduled.
• The Landfill will be closed on Monday, October 14. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, October 15 from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
• The CHaRM facility is closed on Mondays and will be closed on October 14. Regular hours of operations resume on Tuesday, October 15.

Transit

• All Transit services will operate as regularly scheduled.
• Transit offices are closed on Monday, October 14.
