eNews Alumni Spotlight highlights alumni who give back to Frostburg in some way - time, talent, treasure or any combination. This edition of eNews features Lauren Ludvigsen '15.

Current City: Baltimore, Md.

Current Occupation: Brand Marketing, Giant Foods, Inc.

Why did you choose to attend Frostburg State University?

I fell in love with the campus and town after taking a tour. It also helped that my best friend was going to attend here, too.

What is your favorite memory as a student?

My favorite memory is the feeling of having a strong sense of community, created from both FSU and the surrounding local neighbors and businesses. Also, I cannot forget knocking on Lorenzo's Bakery's door late at night for the hot & fresh donuts!

Which faculty and/or staff member influenced you as a student?

Dr. Lilly Ye. She was engaging and showed a true interest in her students within the classroom and as advisor of the Marketing Club.

What advice would you give to a student currently studying your major?

Try to explore the various core classes within the business program early on as you think about a concentration - you might be surprised by what subjects you gravitate towards. Utilize your professors and network with them! They're the best resource and are there for you.

Why do you give back (time, talent and/or treasure) to FSU?

I give back what I can as I was given opportunities as a student when I needed them the most.

What is a cause dear to your heart?

Forever Frostburg Scholarship

What do you do for fun?

Get outdoors with my dog Olive, paint, and play rugby with the Baltimore Flamingos Rugby Club.

What three words can you use to describe FSU?

Community. Accepting. Underdog!

List any professional or personal accomplishments we can celebrate with you.

I earned my MBA from Loyola University Maryland in December! I couldn't have done this without the support of my wife, Hayley, and the foundations built from FSU's Business program.
