Kansas City area maintenance work for Oct. 15-18

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Oct. 15-18. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

Interstate 70 eastbound and westbound between Benton Blvd. and Jackson Ave.: left lane closed on Thu., Oct. 17 and Fri., Oct., 18, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily, for barrier wall repair.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Missouri Highway 23 between Missouri Highway 2 and Route Y: flagging operation on Thu., Oct. 17 and Fri., Oct. 18, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

SALINE COUNTY

North Outer Rd. (off I-70) west from Missouri Highway 127 to end of state maintenance: flagging operation on Wed., Oct. 16, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. for pavement repair.

South Outer Rd. (off I-70) east from U.S. Highway 65 to County Rd. 211: flagging operation on Thu., Oct. 17, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair.

Missouri Highway 240 between US-65 and South Missouri Highway 41: flagging operation on Fri., Oct. 18, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
