Council Member Omar Narvaez to Recognize Community Groups forElectricBikeDonations
|
What
|
Council Member Omar Narvaez of District 6, will join representatives from the Dallas Police Department, and National Latino Law Enforcement Organization (NLLEO) at Dallas City Hall to recognize Advocates for Community Transformation (ACT), Brother Bill's Helping Hand, Builders of Hope, Quality Sausage Company, Master Construction & Engineering, Inc and Bike the Blue for their donation of 18 e-bikes.
This marks a significant milestone as it is the first time the Dallas Police Department will utilize e-bikes. E-bikes are faster than traditional bicycles and require less energy to operate, making them an efficient tool for community engagement. The bike patrols will enhance face-to-face interactions, fostering stronger relationships between law enforcement and residents.
"This donation of e-bikes strengthens the bonds between law enforcement, local businesses and our community," said Council Member Omar Narvaez.
