• Senate - The Senate confirmed several nominations and passed the Preventing the Financing of Illegal Synthetic Drugs Act (H.R. 1076) and the DEFIANCE Act (S. 3696).
• House - The House passed the Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act (H.R. 8998).
• Biden Administration - On July 25, President Biden signed the Federal Prison Oversight Act (H.R. 3019). This legislation establishes an inspections regime for the Bureau of Prisons and an Ombudsman office in the Department of Justice.
