A fire started in Trabuco Canyon on 9/9/24 around 1:15 pm. At this time it is not affecting Lake Forest residents. Here is the information OCSheriff has provided regarding the fire. The City webpage for the fire is located at -Airport Fire

9-9-2024 - Airport Fire in South Orange County

The County of Orange activated and staffed the Emergency Operations Center with County agency representatives at 2:30 PM on Monday, September 9, 2024. The Public Information Hotline has been staffed and is ready to accept calls of inquiry in regard to the Airport Fire.

The Public Information Hotline phone number is (714) 628-7085. All resources and support personnel have been identified and are on standby ready to mobilize other areas of the Emergency Operations Center when needed.

A large animal shelter has been established at 88 Fair Drive in the City of Costa Mesa.

Residents may receive emergency alerts on their cell phones and e-mail addresses by registering online at www.alertoc.com. The phone numbers registered will be called only if the registered address is affected by an emergency situation.
