An Improved Experience for Building Inspection Customers

The City of Toledo will launch a brand-new permit portal for online plan review, permit applications, and payments on September 18. Users will benefit from a modern, user-friendly, web-based system that improves the ease of working with the building inspection office.

Users of the existing permit application system will receive direct communication from the city with detailed instructions on accessing the new platform. Please get in touch with us if you haven't received any communication.

As a part of this transition, the old system will be retired on September 12 and applications must be submitted via email or in-person during the upgrade window. Inspections will need to be scheduled via email or in-person until they can be done online.

It is important to remember that the City of Toledo will never directly request your payment information over the phone or email. If you're ever unsure whether or not you're speaking to a city representative, please hang up and call us directly at 419-245-1220.
