Two Allegheny College Alumni Engaged On The Steps Of Bentley Hall

Brendon Urso '20 and Jordan Mehalko '22 got engaged on August 2, 2024 on the steps of Bentley Hall! Read about their love story:

Q: Did you meet at Allegheny?
A: We met at Allegheny in 2018.

Q: How did you meet and when?
A: Jordan played on the women's soccer team and I played on the men's basketball team. We met through sports and friends.

Q: What were your majors and minors?
A: Brendon: Major - Economics, Minor - Education
Jordan: Major - Neuroscience and Biology, Minor - Dance and Movement Studies

Q: What do you do now?
A: Brendon: 8th Grade Special Education Teacher at Fox Chapel Area School District
Jordan: Research Associate at Western Psychiatric Hospital, STAR Research Department

Q: When and where is your wedding?
A: We plan to get married at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Pittsburgh in June 2025

Q: How did you get the stairs set up with the decor? Who helped you arrange that?
A: My sisters Bryanna '21 and Bella, and Jordans sisters, Teagan and Keira, set up the flowers, pictures, and candles on the stairs. We met at Allegheny and loved our experience so what better place to get engaged than Allegheny College!

Q: Anything you'd like to say about Allegheny or the experience?
A: We both loved our experience at Allegheny. We met lifelong friends and created memories that will last a lifetime.
