Kameo Chambers, a second year MFA student at Alfred University, and several AU alumni are among a group of artists whose work is featured in a program now streaming on BRIC TV Brooklyn Free Speech.

BRIC (Brooklyn Information and Culture) is a leading arts and media institution in the Brooklyn Cultural Center; BRIC TV is Brooklyn's premier video producer of local news and social justice reporting; music, arts and comedy coverage. Brooklyn Free Speech is a New York City Emmy and Hometown Media Award-winning nonprofit committed to building Brooklyn's creative future.

"Waving Collective Narratives" is an exhibition of work that explores the concept of identity, community, and cultural exchange. It was curated by Alfred University alumnus Yitong Chen '24 (B.F.A.) and features works from 19 artists-some of them AU alumni-of diverse backgrounds. The event aims to foster a dialogue that transcends individual perspectives, weaving our shared environment and experiences into a collective narrative.

A televised program on "Waving Collective Narratives" premiered on BRIC TV Brooklyn Free Speech on Monday, Oct. 7 and is scheduled to replay every Friday at 10 a.m. & 10 p.m., and Sundays at 9 p.m. throughout the month of October. It also is being streamed on BRIC TV Brooklyn Free Speech.

The following Alfred University alumni join Chambers in having work included in "Waving Collective Narratives": Tomáš Penc M.F.A. '23, Eric Souther M.F.A. '11, Ruihaonan Wang '24 (B.F.A.), and Crane Zhu M.F.A. '23. Maria Villanueva, a former visiting faculty in the Alfred University School of Art and Design, also participated.
