Presidential Council for State Policy on Promoting the Russian Language and Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation established

The council has been established in order to improve activities to preserve, develop, and support Russian and the languages of the peoples of Russia, and to strengthen the position of Russian in the world.

The Executive Order approves the Regulation on the Council, the composition of the Council and its presidium.

The document abolishes the Presidential Council for the Russian Language.
