Update: Male Identified in Skeletal Remains Found at 8533 Lee Otis Street

October 31, 2024- Houston police have learned the identity of a male whose skeletal remains were found at 8533 Lee Otis Street about 4:35 p.m. on October 9.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has identified the man as Jason Flintroy, 42. A picture of Mr. Flintroy is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Lamont and Detective A. Herrera reported:

Officers responded to a report of skeletal remains found in the backyard of a residence at the above address. HPD homicide detectives and investigators with the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences confirmed the skeletal remains were human.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences identified Mr. Flintroy's remain and determine he had suffered a gunshot wound.

At this time, there are no known suspects.
