Request for Proposals for the Climate Smart Communities Coordinator Services

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's (NYS DEC) - Office of Climate Change is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to serve as Climate Smart Communities Coordinators, to provide support services to communities as part of the Climate Smart Communities Program, the program is available at: https://climatesmart.ny.gov/. The selected contractors will support local climate action through outreach, planning, education, and capacity building to local governments and their communities on climate change mitigation and adaptation within one or more of three territories. These actions will help New York State meet the greenhouse gas emission reduction mandates set by the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act and increase community resilience to avoid current and future climate change impacts. A copy of the Climate Smart Communities Coordinators Services Request for Proposals document can be requested beginning August 13, 2024. To receive an electronic format copy, send an email with full organizational contact information to [email protected]by 11:00 a.m. August 28, 2024.

Proposals for the Climate Smart Communities Coordinator Services initiative are due by 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Proposals should be received by the due date at NYS DEC - Office of Management and Budget, Bureau of Expenditure Accounting, 625 Broadway, 10th Floor, Albany, NY 12233-5027. Each proposal submission must be clearly labeled with the name of the Proposer and the name of the territory for which it proposes to provide services. Proposals must include one (1) hard copy and an electronic copy submitted by external flash drive (thumb drive).
