NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Hon. Keith Bell, Minister of Housing and Urban Renewal, along with the Urban Renewal Citizens Advisory Committee, hosted a Meet and Greet at the Paul Farquharson Convention Center, Police Headquarters, September 26, 2024.

Minister Keith Bell emphasized to the Urban Renewal Citizens Advisory Committee that their role is absolutely essential. "You are the pulse of our efforts, ensuring that the concerns, needs, and ideas of our communities are not only heard but respected and acted upon. Each of you, representing diverse sectors -- business, education, the church, non-profits, and more -- brings unique expertise and, most importantly, a passion for uplifting your neighborhoods.

"Your participation in this committee is a testament to the rich diversity and strength of the communities we serve. Together, you reflect the broad spectrum of voices, experiences, and perspectives that make our neighborhoods vibrant and resilient."

He encouraged the committee to continue sharing ideas and insights, not only about what is working but also about where they can improve: "Your input is critical as you strive to create safer, stronger, and more connected communities. Our success in Urban Renewal does not rest solely on government action, it depends on the active engagement, partnership, and ownership from you, the citizens."

Other officials in attendance were the Hon. Wayne Munroe K.C.., and Co- Chairs of the Urban Renewal Commission, the Rt. Hon. Algernon Allen, and Rev. Dr. Diana Francis.
