Published on July 26, 2024

UPDATE: Due to ground conditions in Big Spring Park, Huntsville Parks & Recreation has postponed Light Up the Night to Friday, Aug. 16.

Get your glow on and join Huntsville Parks & Recreation for Light Up the Night on Friday, Aug. 16, from 6-9 p.m. in Big Spring Park.

Attracting thousands of revelers, the popular annual event includes live music, dancing and enchanting lighting throughout the park. Attendees can enjoy glow-in-the-dark face paint, engaging games and more.

At 7 p.m., the excitement ramps up with glow foam cannons, promising an unforgettable experience for all ages. The first 100 children will receive special light-up party favors.

"We're thrilled to bring back Light Up the Night for our community this year," Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett. "It's the perfect way to close out another successful Parks and Recreation Month and say 'thank you' to all those who have attended this year's events."

Concessions will be available for purchase from food trucks located along Church Street and around Big Spring Park West.
