NEW: Bresnahan Donated to Cartwright’s Last Campaign in 2022

"The best opponent Republicans could find for Matt Cartwright in 2024 is someone who supported him in 2022"

Yes, you read that right: Rob Bresnahan donated thousands to Matt Cartwright last cycle before he was handpicked by Washington extremists to run against him. After the Scranton Times-Tribune exposed his inconvenient donation this morning, Bresnahan is struggling to explain why he sold out his supposed values.

This has been a tough week for Bresnahan. On Monday, Keystone Newsroom exposed Bresnahan for opposing prescription drug price caps and health care subsidies that thousands of Pennsylvanian seniors rely on. And on Tuesday it was reported that the multi-millionaire - who is worth almost $70 million - was endorsing a tax plan that would "overwhelmingly benefit multi-millionaires " like himself and add "$4.6 trillion to the deficit."

DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
"Rob Bresnahan donated to Matt Cartwright in 2022, before changing his tune the minute out-of-touch extremists and special interests offered to buy him a seat in Congress. It's never been more clear that Bresnahan is a sellout who will do or say anything to get elected, and he can't be trusted to fight for northeastern Pennsylvania."
