Smith Statement on Israeli Prime Minister's Address to Congress

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE), released the following statement after the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint meeting of Congress.

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address demonstrated why Israel is our closest ally in the Middle East and displayed the conviction required to confront the regional instability Israel continually faces. By lending credence to illegitimate claims against Israel's right to forcefully pursue the freedom of hostages taken by Hamas in the October 7 attacks and balking on its delivery of support authorized by Congress, the Biden-Harris Administration has displayed a lack of clarity. I stand with Israel, and today was an important moment for our critical alliance."
