Citywide Street Resurfacing Project

The City began preparation work in late August to resurface various streets throughout the City. Those locations were High Point neighborhood in Claraboya (Completed a 2 Inch Grind and Overlay), Auto Center Drive (Completed a 2 Inch Grind and Overlay), Indian Hill Boulevard under the I-10 Freeway Bridge (2 Inch Grind and Overlay still being scheduled), and the area of the city between Foothill Boulevard, Indian Hill Boulevard, Arrow Highway, and Towne Avenue (Scheduled for Slurry Seal).

Starting on Monday, October 7, and for about two weeks, the City's contractor will be performing slurry seal maintenance of city streets within the project. The streets between Foothill Boulevard, Indian Hill Boulevard, Arrow Highway, and Towne Avenue will all receive notices (hand delivered by the contractor) with information on the street closures necessary to perform this work. These notices will include project information and locations of where to park as early as the night before to allow for access to from properties while work is being completed. Street closures will only last for one day, unless coming back to address damage is necessary. Any street striping that is necessary to complete, will be done some about two to three weeks following the slurry seal application. Impact during street striping operations is typically minimal and will not impede access to city streets. Claremont Police Department has been contacted and will not be issuing overnight parking tickets while slurry seal maintenance is scheduled.

A copy of the schedule has been provided below in case you would like to look up the date your street is currently scheduled to be worked on. Please keep in mind that this schedule is subject to change, but in the case that this happens, those properties on affected streets will receive new or updated notices to account for this change, should it be necessary to do so. Trash pickup services have also been coordinated with Community Services. At this time trash collection services will not be interrupted during this work, but if you do have questions, please contact Community Services at 909-399-5431.

If you should have any questions during this time, please contact the Engineering Division at 909-399-5395.
