Third U.S.-Singapore Cyber Dialogue

The United States and Singapore conducted the third United States-Singapore Cyber Dialogue on the sidelines of the 9th Singapore International Cyber Week. Co-chaired by United States Ambassador at Large for Cyberspace and Digital Policy Nathaniel C. Fick and Cyber Security Agency of Singapore Chief Executive David Koh, the dialogue was attended by officials from a wide range of agencies from both countries.

During the dialogue, officials discussed the cybersecurity threat landscape in the region, including trends in nation-state cyber activity, online fraud, and malicious cyber activity targeting critical infrastructure systems. They discussed developments in their respective country's cybersecurity policies, strategies, and laws. They highlighted operational successes in bilateral cyber cooperation aimed at deterring and building resilience to malicious cyber activity. Lastly, participants reviewed international and regional cooperation in multilateral fora on cyber issues and capacity building aimed at building our collective resilience.

First announced by President Biden and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in March 2022, the dialogue serves as a platform to bring together officials from both countries' cyber policy, operational, and technical elements to hold regular discussions on practical cooperation.

The United States and Singapore share a deep mutual interest in enhancing cybersecurity, data security, and cyber-resilience as they are prerequisites for and enablers of both countries' economic growth and efforts to improve the lives of their people.
