CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The City of Corpus Christi invites you to a public meeting to discuss a historic resources survey of the Upper Westside neighborhoods. The meeting will be on Wednesday, November 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall City Council Chambers located at 1201 Leopard Street.
The city hired Austin-based historic preservation consultants, Preservation Central, to survey, photograph, and document historic buildings, structures, objects, and sites built before 1975 within the project area. Preservation Central will also write a history of the region based on the survey results, archival research, and oral histories.
The consultants will give a brief, up-to-date presentation on the survey. Then, they will open the meeting for questions, suggestions, and recommendations on learning more about local contributions to the area's growth, development, and history.
Your input is essential to understanding and celebrating the little-recognized history of people, neighborhoods, businesses, institutions, and events associated with the Upper West Side.
