Greenberg Traurig’s David B. Weinstein to Speak at 2024 ABA 10th Annual Southeastern White Collar Crime Institute

TAMPA, Fla. - Aug. 26, 2024- Greenberg Traurig, Shareholder David B. Weinstein(New York, Washington D.C., and Tampa), will speak at the 2024 American Bar Association (ABA) 10th Annual Southeastern White Collar Crime Institute, Sept. 4-6.

The Southeastern White Collar Crime Institute is a two-day program featuring top-flight practitioners from around the nation covering various topics such as international criminal enforcement, eDiscovery issues, health care fraud, state enforcement, public corruption prosecutions, and investigations, according to the organization.

David is a panelist on the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology & White-Collar Investigations" presentation. The panel will focus on issues relating to artificial intelligence, including admissibility of AI evidence, how the technology can be used to prepare complex cases, and attendant ethical issues. They will explore some of the biases and challenges surrounding the use of AI in the current environment, and discuss recent enforcement trends, potential future criminal investigations, and defenses that can be raised in such cases.

As an active member of the legal professional community, is involved in multiple ABA committees and sections. He is a member of the ABA White Collar Crime /Environmental Crimes Subcommittee, a co-chair of the Environmental & Energy Litigation Civil & Criminal Litigation Enforcement Subcommittee, and a vice chair in the Section of Environment Energy and Resources (SEER) Enforcement and Litigation Committee. Among his duties for SEER, he is a co-author of the Enforcement and Litigation Chapter of the ABA's annual publication, The Year in Review.

David is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. LCA is an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society limited to less than one-half of 1% of American lawyers, judges, and scholars.
