City of Murphy Welcomes New Leaders in Community & Economic Development and IT.

MURPHY, Texas (July 29, 2024) - The City of Murphy is thrilled to introduce two key appointments to our leadership team, marking a new chapter in our commitment to service and innovation.

Reagan Rothenberger, a familiar face and former employee, is returning to Murphy as the Director of Community and Economic Development. Reagan brings experience and a deep understanding of the city's needs and aspirations, as learned through his previous role as the City Planner for Murphy. Briefly leaving the city for a growth opportunity at the City of Southlake, he now is tasked with spearheading initiatives to enhance community development and stimulate local economic opportunities.

Additionally, the city is pleased to welcome Carter Smith as the new IT Director! Carter joins Murphy from Heath, Texas, where he has established a reputation for excellence in technology management and strategic IT solutions. His expertise will be vital in advancing the city's technological infrastructure and ensuring that Murphy remains at the forefront of digital innovation and cybersecurity.
