Tomball High School Band Camp Cool Down

On Wednesday afternoon, Mayor Lori Klein Quinn joined the Tomball High School Marching Band and Flag Corps to celebrate their annual traditional cool down event, marking the culmination of their rigorous summer band camp. Students gathered in the auditorium to hear Mayor Quinn, a proud Cougar alumna and former band and dance line member, speak about time management and balancing her studies and practice time. She even joined the fun, twirling alongside Maddie, a featured Lady Cougar twirler, at the assembly before the hose down.

After the assembly, the students raced to the school parking lot where they were greeted by cheering parents, faculty members, and Tomball Fire Rescue, who provided the water that cooled down the students and turned the parking lot into a refreshing splash zone.

With the Tomball ISD academic school year right around the corner, beginning on August 13, this event provided a well-deserved break and moment of celebration. Long days in the heat, practicing marching, playing instruments, and perfecting routines can be exhausting, but these dedicated students are committed to excellence and bringing joy to Cougar football games. Their hard work was rewarded with the traditional cool down from Tomball Fire Rescue. Well done, team!
