Reps. Schiff, Goldman Applaud Biden Administration for Condemnation of Sexual Violence by Hamas, Continued Support of Israel

Washington, D.C.- Today, Representatives Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) released the following joint statement in response to the Biden Administration's leadership on Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CSRV), including Hamas' sexual violence against Israelis on October 7:

"We're grateful that the Biden Administration is taking such a strong and unequivocal stance to address the egregious sexual violence committed by Hamas on October 7th. The evidence of the crimes committed by Hamas is overwhelming, and as bad actors seek to justify that violence, the administration's clear condemnation is essential. We applaud the swift action by the President.

"The Jewish community has no better friend than President Biden - and his administration has been the steadfast ally that Israel needs at this dire moment. We're incredibly grateful for his leadership, and we look forward to continuing to work side-by-side with the Administration to support Israel's right to defend itself and secure a lasting peace that guarantees the safety and dignity of both the Israeli and Palestinian people."
