Howard Fire Rescue hosts free Stop the Bleed training

Howard Fire Rescue will host a Stop the Bleed training session 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 9 in the Community Center (back entrance) at Howard Village Hall, located at 2456 Glendale Ave. The event is free and open to the public.

The No. 1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. The Stop the Bleed program teaches people three quick actions to control bleeding if serious injury occurs. The program is appropriate for all ages.
