Lewis, Longman & Walker Celebrates Next Generation with Addition of Three New Attorneys

Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A., is excited to announce attorneys Lisa M. Diaz, Michelle Rodriguez, and Zoë Weiser-Dalton have joined the firm.

2024 has been a big year for LLW. The firm celebrated its 30th anniversary and since January, has hired ten new attorneys, expanding to prepare for client needs well into the future.

"Our ability to grow and evolve is more than a matter of professional pride," said LLW President and Shareholder, Michelle Diffenderfer, "It sends a strong message to current and future clients that we are building on our past and adapting for the future."

Meet the New Attorneys

Lisa M. Diaz - West Palm Beach

Ms. Diaz practices in the areas of environmental and Native American law, focusing on permitting, litigation, and compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. Before joining LLW, Lisa represented clients with legal challenges related to the construction and permitting of liquified natural gas export facilities. Challenges included Louisiana state coastal use permitting as well as National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Endangered Species Act (ESA) violations at the federal level. Before that, Lisa worked as a Law Clerk in New Orleans where she focused on exposure risk assessments for toxic tort litigation.

Lisa earned her JD with a certificate in Environmental Law from Tulane University Law School in 2020 where she represented clients as a student attorney at the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic. Lisa also served as Board Chair of the Environment Law & Policy Summit, and as Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. A Miami native, Lisa holds a BA in Marine Affairs from the University of Miami, where she also minored in Biology and Environmental Science & Policy.

Michelle Rodriguez - Tallahassee

Michelle earned her JD from Florida State University College of Law. She received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University. She is an active member of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Section and volunteers at the Second Judicial Circuit Court Legal Clinic. Before joining LLW, she served as a Congressional Intern and Legal Casework Intern for a U.S. Senator's Office.

Zoë Weiser-Dalton - West Palm Beach

Zoë earned her JD from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she served as a Research Assistant and as Finance Chair for UF's 29th Annual Public Interest Environmental Conference. While at UF, Zoë received a Book Award from the Environmental and Community Development Clinic. She received her BA in Psychology, magna cum laude, in 2018 from the University of Mississippi. Zoë was a Brinton Scholarship Legal Intern at The Public Trust Environmental Legal Institute of Florida, and she previously served as a Victim Advocate Intern at the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
