Global Safety and Healthis now part of the VandySafe app, adding emergency support for our community members when they're traveling outside Davidson County.
Global Safety and Health introduces three new features that are now available under Support Resources in the VandySafe app.This enhancement puts critical information at your fingertips, all available under Support Resources in the VandySafe app, including:
Additionally, the Virtual Walkhome service has been expanded to off-campus and international locations through the VandySafe app. Vanderbilt community members with a U.S. or Canadian phone number and a stable cellular data or Wi-Fi connection can now use this feature wherever they are, providing an enhanced layer of safety and support for travelers. By using device location services, VUPD can monitor travel routes and, if necessary, automatically contact emergency services by dialing 911. VandySafe is also developing a component that will allow users to text with VIRT for more assistance if needed.
