8 new promotions at Baker McKenzie Paris
To support its growth, Baker McKenzie Paris announces eight elections in the Employment, Tax, Real Estate, M&A and Intellectual Property practices, as well as in the Africa Projects group in France.
These announcements are in line with Baker McKenzie's development strategy, which has just announced the promotion of 66 new Partners worldwide, effective July 1, 2024.

Pauline Celeyron has been promoted Partner in the Intellectual Property department of the IPTech group, which she joined in 2015.
Pauline Celeyron advises on all aspects of intellectual property law, with a particular focus on copyright, digital media and trademark law. She has acquired in-depth knowledge of digital copyright and intermediary liability issues and regulations, including related content notification and takedown issues, and advises leading local and international clients on these matters. She also has expertise in a wide range of copyright and related rights issues, including the management of these rights by collecting societies. Pauline also specializes in the global management of trademark portfolios, the implementation of anti-counterfeiting programs and the drafting of complex intellectual property agreements.
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2016, she holds a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Paris II - Panthéon-Assas (2013) and a postgraduate degree in Business Law from the University of Paris II - Panthéon-Assas (2012).
She has been recognized as a "Key Lawyer" since 2021 in the "Trade marks and designs" category, as well as in the "Copyrights" category in 2024 by the Legal 500 ranking. Laura Nguyên-Lapierre has been promoted Senior Counsel in the Tax team. She joined Baker McKenzie Paris in 2010.
Laura Nguyên-Lapierre specializes in transfer pricing and international taxation. She has 15 years' experience advising clients in this area.
Laura devotes a large part of her practice to the prevention and resolution of transfer pricing disputes in all business sectors: assistance in out-of-court proceedings, both on the basis of the European Arbitration Convention or the European Directive and on the basis of bilateral tax treaties; assistance in the negotiation of advance pricing agreements; assistance in transfer pricing tax audits.
Laura also assists clients with transfer pricing and permanent establishment risk audits, as well as with the design and implementation of transfer pricing policies tailored to clients' strategic objectives and business models (contractual documentation, transfer pricing documentation, associated tax aspects). Laura is a member of Baker McKenzie's Pillar 1 Taskforce.
She contributes to Baker McKenzie's tax publications and regularly appears in the French and international trade press. She speaks at conferences on transfer pricing and international tax issues, for example recently on the tax implications of global mobility and teleworking, proposed EU directives and the OECD's Pillar 1 work on international tax reform.

Marie-Amélie Roger-Balducci has been promoted Counsel in Baker McKenzie's Employment Law department, which she joined in 2016.
Marie-Amélie Roger-Balducci assists French and international clients in employment law. She has developed an expertise in collective labor relations, in particular the consultation of employee representatives, the implementation of redundancy plans and reorganizations. She is also involved in individual labor relations, including performance management, compensation plans, dismissals, litigation and settlements. She also assists multinational groups in coordinating international and cross-functional projects.
From 2021 to 2023, Marie-Amélie held the position of Director of Labor Relations with a company specializing in vocational training.
Marie-Amélie is regularly involved in pro bono initiatives. She recently initiated the launch of a new pro bono project in favor of the FIT Association une femme un toit, which works for social reintegration, social housing and the fight against violence against women.

Robin Gaulier advises local and international clients throughout their transactions: from the letter of intent to the SPA, including due diligence and tax structuring. He also helps them integrate their acquisitions into their existing group and simplify their structures. Finally, he assists them in the day-to-day management of their tax issues.

Arslane Hatem has been promoted Counsel in Baker McKenzie Paris' Africa Projects group, which he joined in 2017.
A member of the Projects group, with experience focused particularly on OHADA law, energy, mining, as well as their corporate/M&A aspects, Arslane Hatem is responsible for the Francophone Africa initiative and the development of the Africa Hub within the firm's Paris office, which aims to provide a seamless experience for Baker McKenzie's global clients to help them navigate the complexities of the region, particularly in OHADA countries.
He advises international investors on the implementation and development of their projects in Africa in the fields of energy, trade, investment, distribution, transport, logistics, telecommunications and media. Romain Marroux promoted Counsel in the Tax Department of Baker McKenzie Paris
Romain Marroux joined Baker McKenzie's Paris tax group in 2017. He specializes in corporate and international taxation. In particular, he advises leading French and international investors on the completion of their real estate transactions both in France and abroad.
Romain has developed particular expertise in the taxation of regulated investment vehicles such as Listed Real Estate Investment Companies (SIICs) and Real Estate Collective Investment Schemes (OPCIs).
