UKG , a leading provider of HR, payroll, workforce management, and culture solutions, today announced that Jennifer Hanley has joined as the company's inaugural chief communications officer (CCO). Hanley has more than 25 years of experience leading internal and external communication strategies at organizations such as J.P. Morgan, KKR, and Flagship Pioneering's Valo Health, and was formerly the press secretary for U.S. Senator and Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton.
Since joining UKG in October 2024, Hanley reports to CEO Jen Morgan and is responsible for developing and executing an integrated, global communications strategy while leading the company's internal and external communications teams, thought leadership, and corporate branding. Hanley is also leading a customer-first initiative that aims to streamline the customer communication experience.
"Jennifer brings a wealth of experience in strategic communications and brand storytelling, making her the perfect leader to amplify our voice and bring UKG's brand to new heights," said UKG CEO Jennifer Morgan. "She brings extensive expertise in corporate affairs, having successfully guided top-tier communications teams and enhanced the reputations of globally renowned brands. Her leadership will be invaluable as we continue to experience significant growth and transform the way organizations operate around the world."
Prior to joining UKG, Hanley served as CCO at Valo Health, where she launched the company's brand and narrative, successfully introducing Valo's technology story to investors and media. Previously, Hanley was the global head of communications, marketing, and engagement at KKR, and held a similar role for J.P. Morgan's Treasury and Security Services business. Hanley also served as press secretary for Clinton throughout her two terms in the U.S. Senate, as well as during her 2008 U.S. presidential campaign.
"I'm thrilled to serve as UKG's inaugural CCO, where I have the absolute privilege of sharing our company's exciting story with our customers, employees, and the public," said Hanley. "While UKG has already accomplished so much as an organization serving more than 80,000 organizations worldwide, we're at a pivotal time in our history, and this is just the opening chapter in our transformative growth story."
UKG continues to add experienced, strategic, and inspiring executives to its leadership suite reporting to CEO Jennifer Morgan, including Rachel Barger, who joined UKG in May as president, GTM , and incoming President, CFO Arlen Shenkman and Chief Product Officer Suresh Vittal , who will both join the company in January 2025.
