Jefferson Avenue Closed at Wanetah July 8-12

June 28, 2024 - Beginning Monday, July 8, Jefferson Avenue will be closed to through traffic at Wanetah Drive as crews perform utility work related to the Concept 5 Sewer Improvement Plan.

During this time, through traffic on Jefferson should utilize Wheeler Street, Swede Avenue, and W. Wackerly Street to detour around the closure. Jefferson is anticipated to reopen to traffic on Friday, July 12.

When complete, the Sylvan Lane pipe upsizing project will provide improvements to the sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water distribution systems and street network for this area within the Sylvan pumping district area, including the upsizing of both storm and sanitary sewer pipes.

Residents are reminded that due to the nature of construction activities, the information provided may change at any time.
