JONESBORO - Brooke Ray of Collinsville, Ill., was crowned Miss Arkansas State University 2025 in the 50th edition of the scholarship competition, held Wednesday evening in Riceland Hall at Fowler Center on the A-State campus. The pageant is presented by Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Ray captured the title with her rhythmic and Fosse-style dance to the classic, "Putting on the Ritz." Her community service initiative is "M.O.M.S - Making Our Moms Stronger," a platform she created to spread awareness for single mothers. She was sponsored by Arkansas State Spirit Squads.
The junior marketing major with a minor in entrepreneurship and a concentration in sales also won the Talent Award, the On Stage Conversation Award, and the Social Media Promotions Award. Among her many prizes, Ray received a $5,000 scholarship from Arkansas State University.
The first runner-up was Erica Parker of Jonesboro, a senior strategic communication major, whose community service initiative is "VIP: Volunteering is Priceless." Her talent performance was a jazz dance. She also won the People's Choice Award.
Audriann Mae Wolfe of Vilonia, a laboratory sciences major, was second runner-up. Her community service initiative is "Persevering Through P.O.T.S.," which educates and advocates for individuals with chronic illnesses.
Emma Kate James of Rogers, a freshman general studies major, was third runner-up. Her community service initiative is "Build a Home, Shape a Future."
Emma Scott of Jonesboro, a senior exercise science major, was fourth runner-up, and Veronika Jergenson of Malvern was selected as Miss Congeniality.
The contest is an official Miss America Preliminary, so Ray will begin preparations immediately to compete in the upcoming Miss Arkansas competition.
The Pi Kappa Alpha chapter at A-State began sponsoring the Miss Arkansas State University competition in 1975.
