Man charged with 13 alleged graffiti and trespass offences - Albury

A man has been charged with multiple alleged graffiti and trespass offences in the state's south.

On Saturday 31 August 2024, a police officer was approached by two males - one of whom allegedly swung a scooter at the officer before departing the scene.

The officer suffered two head wounds, which required stitches.

Officers commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, a 30-year-old man was charged in relation to the alleged assault and remains before the courts.

About 1:30pm yesterday (Wednesday 2 October 2024), officers attached to Murray River Police District executed a search warrant in Charles Street, South Albury, in relation to the incident.

During a search of the property, police located and seized a small quantity of cannabis leaf.

A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He was taken to Albury Police Station and charged with ten counts of intentionally mark premises etc without consent - aggravated, enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse and possess prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Albury local Court on Wednesday 23 October 2024.
