Raleigh Parks Plan Update Adopted!

We are excited to announce that the Raleigh Parks Plan Update was adopted by the Raleigh City Council on Dec. 3, 2024!

The adoption of this plan represents the culmination of a year and a half of work with department staff and the local community to create a guiding document for Raleigh Parks' next 10 years. We would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all the community members who took part in this planning process!

The Raleigh Parks Plan is structured around four key health lenses that reflect what our community values most in Raleigh's parks system. This Health-Focused Framework acknowledges that Raleigh's parks, greenways, and recreation facilities are not just nice to have; they are essential to sustaining public health, the natural environment, and our shared quality of life.
