Hall County Government announces several director-level changes

Hall County Government is excited to announce several director-level organizational changes to improve processes and increase service delivery both internally and externally.

"At Hall County Government, our vision is to set the standard for excellent local government services," County Administrator Zach Propes said. "Making these changes will allow us to be more effective in our leadership and efficient in our services."

Beth Garmon, who currently serves as the assistant director of Planning and Development, will move to director of Planning and Zoning, which will include Planning, Zoning and GIS. Randi Doveton, the current director of Planning and Development, will become the director of Development Services, which will include Code Enforcement, Building Inspections and Business Licenses.

Similarly, Facilities Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance and Construction Services will be moved to Superintendent Kevin Ivey, who will assume the responsibilities of those divisions with his promotion to director of Central Services.

"Dividing these service areas is necessary with the County's growth," Assistant County Administrator Casey Ramsey said. "As the County and our services grow, it's necessary to restructure certain departments to ensure the directors can feasibly manage all of the services they oversee."

Additionally, Taylor Samples has been promoted to the role of Financial Services director after serving in an interim capacity since April.

"We have thoughtfully chosen each of these individuals based on their knowledge and experience to lead these departments forward as Hall County continues to navigate expansive growth and development," Propes said.

Garmon, Doveton, Ivey and Samples will officially assume their new roles on July 1, 2024.
