GBI Arrests Two Bulloch County Men in Rape Investigation

Screven County, GA (September 6, 2024) - The GBI has arrested and charged Fredrion Javari Spells, age 21, of Portal, GA, with rape, child molestation, and sexual battery, and Wesley Travis Brown, age 17, of Statesboro, GA, with rape, statutory rape, and sexual battery.

On September 1, 2024, the Screven County Sheriff's Office asked the GBI to investigate the rape of two teenage girls.

Spells and Brown were booked into the Screven County Jail.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
