October 2024 - Coty (NYSE: COTY) (Paris: COTY), one of the world's largest beauty companies with a portfolio of iconic brands across fragrance, color cosmetics, and skin and body care, spotlights its leading innovations and latest scientific studies at the 34th International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists Congress (IFSCC), that takes place in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, from October 14 to 17, 2024.

The IFSCC, one of the most prestigious international events in cosmetic science, brings together leading professionals from across the cosmetics industry, including chemists, researchers, academics, and formulators. At the congress, Coty showcases two significant scientific studies:

  1. Florante Ricarte, PhD, Director of Scientific Communications at Coty: Oxygenation for Skin Rejuvenation: A Comprehensive Study on the Age-Related Decline in Skin Oxygen Levels and the Efficacy of a Novel Oxygen Delivery Technology.
  2. Marc Pissavini, PhD, Research Director at Coty: Two Decades of Sun Protection Advances: A Review and Future Outlook on Photoprotection Methods.

In addition, Coty unveils its latest product innovations and engages with leading experts to explore the future of the beauty sector. The company presents nine posters highlighting recent research in neuroscience and skincare. Key topics include skin repair, the evolution of niacinamide, and strategies to protect DNA integrity from blue light exposure, among others.

A key highlight of Coty's presentation is the company's recent study on the application of neuroscience in product development. This new scientific development has been recently utilized by Coty to create its latest product innovations: Paixão Feminino Ancestral, a special edition body care line featuring a body lotion and oil, and the new adidas Vibes fragrances, which showcase how sensory and emotional stimuli influence the brain and the mood.

"At Coty, science is always at the heart of our product development process, and we are excited to share our research and latest innovations with the global community of experts at the IFSCC. Our study on the application of neuroscience in product development marks a significant step forward in personalization within the beauty sector, and directly contributes to the emotional well-being of our consumers," comments Henrique Sales, R&D VP Coty BR & LATAM.

The Congress aims to foster the exchange of knowledge on cutting-edge innovations, technologies, and emerging trends in cosmetic product development. Key topics of this year's event include advancements in skin science, breakthroughs in ingredient chemistry, and updates on safety and regulatory practices in the cosmetic field.
